I truely love to soak away in a tub and the addition of Bath Salts that I have made for different occasions to help me relax, focus, or prepare for a ritual seems to be a very nice addition. So here are a few recipes on making Bath Salts.

First the basic ingredients are table salt, baking soda (sodium bicarbonate) and Epsom salts (magnesium sulfate). Some people use Borax. Add the salts to a large bowl in these amounts:

3parts Epsom salts
2 parts baking soda
1 part table salt (or Borax)

Mix thoroughly. This is the base mix from what you make your own personal bath salts from. With this mixture you can make one kind or make several, the use of colors to add their power to it is also very simple by taking food coloring, letting it fall drop by drop till you achieve the color you are trying to get. If you are trying to make a color by mixing two colors do this in a spoon first then drop in to the salts. You do this to avoid making a two toned product. The more drops in to the salts the darker the color.

Now you can start to add the essential oils drop by drop, one ingredientat a time. Until you feel the scent you are trying for is achieved. Be ready to spend some time in doing this. As you mix, visualize the energies within the oils merging with each other andwith the salt. Keep in mind why you are mixing this, wether it be for protection or for drawing something or someone to you.

Use a basic empowering ritual and then use the salts as needed. The Salts should be strongly scented. Here a few recipes gotten from "The Complete Book of Incense, Oils, and Brews"
