Golden-crowned Flying Fox (Chiroptera - Pteropodidae: Acerodon jubatus)

Discoverer:  Eschscholtz, 1831 
Category: ENDANGERED
Habitat/Distribution: Endemic to the Philippines, widespread with the exception of the Palawan faunal region and the Batanes and babuyan groups. Primary lowland forest upto 1,000m; some roosts reported from mangrove swamps and on small islands
Habitat / Behavior: Roosts in tall trees, and forages in forest on figs and other wild fruit.
Threats: Severely declining due to habitat destruction and heavy hunting.
Interesting Information: Includes the species formerly known as Acerodon lucifer.

Philippine Nectar Bat (Chiroptera - Pteropodidae: Eonycteris robusta)

Category: RARE
Habitat/Distribution: Endemic to the philippines; widespread but absent from the palawan island faunal region and Batanes/Babuyan group of islands.
Habitat / Behavior: Feeds on nectar, flowers and soft or over-ripe fruits.

Philippine Tube-nosed Fruit Bat (Chiroptera - Pteropodidae: Nyctimene rabori)
Common Names:  Paniki                 
Discoverer: Heaney and Peterson, 1984
Category: ENDANGERED
Habitat/Distribution: Endemic to the Philippines; recorded only from Cebu, Negros and Sibuyan. Restricted to lowland forest, usually in primary forest but known to occur in secondary forest on Cebu. Known only from lightly-disturbed forest near sea-level.
Habitat / Behavior: Feeds on forest fruit, specially wild figs.
Threats: Population has declined severely since 1950 due to habitat destruction, and face extinction within 10 years if current trends continue.

Category: EXTREMELY ENDANGERED
Habitat/Distribution: Lowland primary and secondary forest.
Habitat / Behavior: Feeds on tender young leaves in the forest canopy; slow moving but an excellent climber.
Threats: Severely impacted by habitat on Panay.

Ilin Hairy-tailed Cloud Rat  (Rodentia - Muridae: Crateromys paulus)

Category: VERY RARE, POSSIBLY EXTINCT
Habitat/Distribution: Unknown; probably lowland forest. Known only with certainty from Ilin Island (south of Mindoro)
Habitat / Behavior: Unknown; geographically extremely restricted
