From south Burma to Malaya, Sumatra and Borneo. Common lowland resident in peatswamp or old riverine secondary and primary forests. Size 15 cm. Singly or in pairs, usually in dense undergrowth, foraging silently on or close to the ground, turning leaves over in search of food. |
