Africa and India to China, Japan, S. E. Asia, Philippines, Sundas and Australia. Rare vagrant, with only one record from Borneo. Resident in parts of the Greater Sundas but there is no record from Sarawak. Size 25 cm. Found singly in swampy grasslands and padi fields. |
