Santa Clara High School Cafetorium
corner of Washington & Bellomy Sts., Santa Clara

Dear Members,

I guess by now you're all anxious for breeding season to be over. Some have had a real good season & others just so-so. If you're a little disgusted about this years hatch just remember, there's always next year.

At the meeting this month there will be a discussion on color feeding the Red Factors; also a question & answer period. If you have any questions, write them down & give them to the President and hopefully someone will be able to help you.

Don't forget the Aug. 12th Steak BBQ. Tickets are now available at $3.00 for adults, hot dogs free to children. Tickets will be sold in advance. Jim Machado & Phil Dubois are co-chairmen for this event.

The Sept. meeting has been selected as the date for our annual “FEATHER SHOW”. This is for baby birds ('73 hatch) bred & shown by members only. Entry fee will be 25˘ per cage. Trophies will be plentiful!

Don't forget those who volunteered trophies, please bring them to this meeting or the July meeting at the latest.

Our Show Manager Phil Dubois, has asked that we start saving a blue chip book per member for the Raffle Table at the Dec. show.

We will be having a pot-luck & raffle this meeting. Please bring your own tableservice & something for the raffle table. A-H, bring a salad, I-P, bring a hot dish & Q-Z bring a dessert.

Remember we have a membership drawing each month & if your name is drawn and you are present, you win whatever is in the “pot”. Last month Emile DeAntoni's name was drawn for $5.00. Sorry he wasn't there to receive the money. This month the “kitty” will be $6.00. How about coming, maybe you'll be the lucky winner.

UNDER THE WEATHER:

Pearl Davis is still in the hospital and feeling a little better. She wishes me to thank the many people who have visited her, sent cards & flowers and those who have called her on the phone. She says it gets pretty lonely and the many thoughtful people have helped her to pass the days.

Marie Dale is now recovering nicely after having serious surgery. A speedy recovery to you, Pearl & marie.

Hope you are able to make the meeting.
Delilah Quieto
