Dear Members,

"BACK TO SCHOOL FOR GENETICS," will be David Miller's topic for this months program. Hookbills are his speciality, so if you have any questions, be sure to jot them down so you won't forget.

Those bringing birds for this months raffle are, Dan & Vivian Gama, Mae & Roland Skirrow & Addie & Lloyd Bunker.

Flea Market planned for Sept. is still in the planning stages. This is definitely for members only. More details from Ch. Chuck Arella as the time draws near.

Anyone wishing to put an ad in the show catalog, see Ruth Mitchell.

New members to be added to the roster are: Jose & Eva Perez, Hayward, Rollers & R.F. Canaries and Darrell & Barbara Atwood, San Jose, R.F. Canaries, Borders, Cockatiels & Parakeets.

The By-laws committee, in reviewing the by-laws, have come up with these suggested changes: (These will be in the newsletter and read at the meeting three times before coming before the club for a vote.)

ARTICLE II OBJECT: The object of this organization is the purpose of Scientific, Educational, & humane study of; the Breeding & Sharing Knowledge & Appreciation of all caged birds.

WORDING TO BE CHANGED TO: The object of this organization shall be the Scientific, Educational, & Humane study of, the Breeding and Sharing Knowledge of; and the Appreciation of all caged birds.

ARTICLE III Instead of number 3 as now listed, insert a new number 3 which will read -- (3) Each member shall be entitled to one vote except in a family membership where a maximum of two (2) votes shall be allowed. Then the statement which is now listed as ARTICLE III, part 3 will automatically become ARTICLE III, part 4.

Don't forget, our club is again sponsoring a fireworks stand at the Moonlight Shopping Center (in front of Fry's Mkt.), cor. Kiely & El Camino in Santa Clara.
