Santa Clara Valley Canary & Exotic Bird Club
September 10, 1972
Pot-luck: 1 P.M. Meeting 1:45 P.M.
Santa Clara High School Cafetorium
corner of Washington & Bellomy Sts., Santa Clara

Dear Members,

For those of you who missed the BBQ last month, you certainly missed a great day. A GOOD TIME WAS HAD BY ALL! We wish to thank the members for the great response of food and raffle items and a special thanks to Hal & Marie Scurlock for chairing the event, to Jim Machado of Jay's Pet Shop & Ray Simonson of Silver flight for donations.

As I'm sure you remember, this meeting will feature the “FEATHER SHOW”. By this we mean this year's hatch only, will be shown. Each bird is to be shown separately (except for the Exotic birds) in it's own show cage. No papers on the bottom. Pour the seed on the tray and fill both cups with water. Each cage will cost 25˘ for entry. We realize the birds are still not quite finished molting and still have pin feathers, but that's what a feather show is, to se how well your birds are doing.

For the pot-luck this month, will the persons whose last name begin with A to include H, bring a dessert; I through P, bring a salad; and Q through Z bring a hot dish. Also be sure to ring your own tableservice. We'll also be having our usual rafle, will you please bring something to contribute to the raffle table?

THIS & THAT

Charlotte LeDoux has broken cuttlebone for sale at $1.25 a pound. If you call her, I'm sure she'll bring it to the meeting for you.

Also a reminder about 1 blue chip stamp book or $3.00 to help us with our raffle for the show in January. This obligation should be taken care of by Dec. 1st.

Don't forget if you have any bird items for sale, bring them to the meeting.

See you the 10th,
Delilah Quieto
