Here are a bunch of handy tips for all kinds of Pirch related things; they aren't in any special order, just stuff I thought you might be able to use.

How To:

• Change your nick /nick newnick (example: /nick Ari-Away).
• Make your own channel /join #yourchannelname (example: /join #Ariadne's_Place).
• Send a notice to someone even if they aren't in the same channel as you /notice nick your message here.
• Send a message to someone /msg nick your message here.
• Find out if someone is on irc and what channel they are in /whois nick.
• Leave a channel without leaving irc /part .
• Get rid of a pest that won't quit bothering you /ignore nick
• DCC chat with someone (whisper) double click on their nick; if they are in another channel you can click on the DCC button and type in their nick and click ok.
• Force a new line in a popup: use the |(pipe), which is the shift key and the \
• AOL and Compuserve users need to get the 32 bit software (winsock) in order to use pirch32 which they can download at their websites.
• Want to disable an event temporarily? Put a ; in front of the line and click save.
• To type a nick quickly, type enough letters (if they are the only one in the channel with a nick that starts with the letter A then just type the A,etc.)to define that person then hit the tab key. Pirch will insert the entire nick! This was given to me by a friend of mine that goes by the nick Maka.

STOP The Music:

AKA: I hate this song how do I make it stop?

• Click on the Media button.
• Click on Media Player Status.
• Click the square.

Change The Color Set Up:

You can customize the colors of the joins, parts, notices, etc. on your screen.

• Click on Options.
• Choose Colors from the drop down menu.
• Find what you want to change in the list on the left.
• Click on it.
• Next, click on the color you want to change it to from the list in the middle.
• Click Ok.

View A Bio:

They must be sent to you first!

• Click on the Tools button.
• Choose Bio Viewer from the drop down menu.
• The viewer will open, use the down arrow to see the list of bio's that you have been sent.
• Click on the one you wish to view.

Set Up A Notify List:

So you'll know when your friends are on irc.

• Click on the Prefs button.
• Click on the Notify tab.
• Click Add.
• Type in your friends nick.
• Check both the Enable Notifications and the Notify to active window boxes.
• Click ok.
