P. Luckas, Perth, W. Australia; O. Trondal, Oslo, Norway; and M. Schwartz, Patagonia, AZ, report a possible "new" Cataclysmic Variable Star on unfiltered CCD frames taken with the 0.35-m Tenagra telescope at Perth on May 19.88 (at mag 15.7) and 24.79 UT (mag 19.0:) in the course of the Tenagra Observatory Supernova Search.
The new object is located at R.A. = 18h 49m 52s.72, Decl. = -59° 13' 11".0 (equinox 2000.0).
Nothing was visible at this position on an image taken by Luckas on 2006 May 02.90 (limiting magnitude about 18.0).
On a Digitized Sky Survey image from 1989 Feb. 30 (limiting red mag 21.0) there is a mag 19.5 star.
