Version 1.1b (beta) - released July 12, 1998
==============================================
Version 1.1 is a fairly major rewrite of WebRSH. It provides
similar functionality to version 1.0.x, but with numerous changes
and improvements. WebRSH version 1.0.x componenets are generally
not compatible with version 1.1 components, such that a fresh
installation is needed.

The following are some of the main changes from version 1.0.x:

1. Multi-platform support. WebRSH now runs on UNIX as well as on
Win32, and should be easily portable to additional platforms.

2. Considerable improvements to the user interface:
  a) WebRSH now uses tables more extensively. There are two sets
of table parameters as well as arbitrary parameters
that can be specified in the 'General Preferences' and effect
its output in a consistant manner throughout. This makes its
appearance very customizable. Also, a 'FileName field size'
parameter was added (to the many previously available size
    parameters).
  b) An optional Frames+JavaScript based interface puts the Command
Line and Main Menu in their own frames, so they are constantly
available. You can easily toggle back and forth between this
interface and the usual (single frame) one.

3. WebRSH no longer comes with the 'littles' archive, but with a
newly written implementation of 'ps' for Win32 that does proper
process listing on both Win95 and WinNT. The option to use the
resource kit utilities on NT is still available though.

4. Several changes to the File Manager:
  a) FM's 'Open' command was replaced by an 'Open/Get' which "opens"
directories and "gets" files. There is no longer an option to
"launch" files from FM (previously, 'Open' was doing that).
Use 'LAUNCH' from the main menu.
  b) FM now has its own 'Upload' button. It works the same as 'UPLOAD'
from the main menu except that it leaves the user within FM.

5. It is no longer possible to send commands to background execution
by capitalizing their first character. Use 'rshstart' instead.

6. The plugin architecture was considerably improved. Almost any
CGI script should now be usable as a plugin.

7. WebRSH no longer requires a full console on Win32. This makes it
simpler to make it work with Microsoft's native servers and should
  increase server compatibility in general.

8. The online help is not yet complete, but in much better shape.
In particular, context sensitive help for options setting is
  available.

Version 1.0.1b (beta) - released May 28, 1998
===============================================
Bugfix release: In WebRSH 1.0b, it is not possible to change the
working directory to the root of a drive with a reference of the form
'C:' ('C:\' is required). As a result, WebRSH 1.0b can't have its home
directory set to the root of a drive. This is fixed.
