Film: "Basic Instinct" (1992).
This controversial movie got a lot of press in 1992, both good and bad.
Michael Douglas was proud to have broken new ground with his oral sex scenes
with Sharon Stone and was disappointed that they got cut out of the "R" rated
version. Sharon Stone got lots of attention by not wearing panties during her
police investigation scene. This movie sports an extremely violent sex scene,
sexual activity between lesbians, and a gory murder where the victim is stabbed
19 times with an ice pick.
Somebody must like this movie - it stayed in the theatres for 28 weeks and
grossed nearly $120 million, but it's a movie I chose to avoid.
