FILM REVIEWS

Film: "Year of the Comet" (1992).
Margaret Harwood (played by Penelope Ann Miller), the daughter of a famous wine auctioneer, is working in a secluded house in Scotland taking inventory of a common wine collection when she uncovers an extremely valuable bottle hidden in a private cellar. This rare Napoleonic wine from 1811 - the year of the comet - is worth, perhaps, $3,000,000 and is the find of a lifetime. She is unaware, however, that Philippe (played by Louis Jourdan) is using this same house as a laboratory to develop a formula for the fountain of youth.
This crazy movie goes from one chase scene to another as the valuable wine bottle gets successively stolen and recovered, and Oliver Plexico (played by Tim Daly) and Margaret escape one close call after another. This movie is a lot of fun, but it is corny at times and predictable.
