Film: "The taming of the shrew" (1967).
Richard Burton and Liz Taylor do their stuff in Franco Zeffirelli's film. It
boasts a strong, starry cast. Shakespeare aficionados will probably squirm as
the accent is very much on violent action with the words playing second
fiddle. Still, with Michael Hordern, Michael York and Victor Spinetti all
chipping in this is a lively variation on the comedy.
