META HEAD META heads contain descriptions and keywords that search engines use to locate your page. Unfortunately, you can't put a META head on a GeoBuilder page, because you can't modify a GeoBuilder head tag without using the advanced editor in File Manager, and editing a GeoBuilder page with the Advanced editor will corrupt the GeoBuilder code format. What you CAN do is build a META head page with the Advanced editor, name it index.html, and link it to your GeoBuilder home page. Here's how it's done: 1. In GeoBuilder, open your index.html page 2. Select Save As and save the page as oldindex.html 3. Frim the GeoBuilder File menu, select File Manager; enter the File Manager 4. Click on the Create New File button at the bottom of your file list. 5. Name the new file index.html 6. Paste the META code below into the text window. 7. Insert your page information wherever necessary. 8. Click on the Save and Continue Editing button below the text window. 9. A prompt may say "You already have a file named "index.html". Are you sure you want to replace it?". Click Yes. 10. Click on the Preview button to view the page. Click on the "CLICK HERE" link on the page to test the link. 10. Using the Back function on your browser, return to the text window. 11. Correct errors and make changes to the page if necessary. 12. When you're satisfied with the results, click on Save. 13. Go to the GeoGuide Manager (Upper left-hand section of the File Manager page) and create your GeoGuide. 14. Activate the GeoGuide while you're in the GeoGuide Manager. 15. Use the Back function of your browser to return to the File Manager. 16. Log out of the File Manager.
