DOWNLOAD NETSCAPE NAVIGATOR 4.6

Netscape seems to be the only browser that works with Windows 95.

My original browser is IE 4.0, and I avoided downloading Netscape for the longest time because I thought having two browsers would cause conflicts on my computer.

However, when the new version of GeoBuilder was released I had so much trouble trying to work on my web pages with IE 4.0 I got desperate enough to give Netscape a try. I was very happy to find that I could use one or the other browser with no problem!

It also means I can view my web site with both browsers to see how it looks online.

Download Netscape, then use the tips on this page to use either browser with no problems.

Smart Download is cool, because it lets you browse the net and do other stuff while Netscape Navigator is downloading.

The following options offered by each browser are VERY important:

To get optimum performance from each browser when you open it, make it the default browser for that session online:

IE 4.0

ALWAYS leave this box checked

Click "Yes" and browser will load as default

NS 4.5

NEVER check this box

Click "Yes" and browser will load as default

The default windows will appear each time you switch browsers. They are they only access to setting the default the browsers offer, so be sure to leave the boxes checked or unchecked as shown above. (I think they are the way you want them when the default windows open.)
