Defensive Structures |
TESLAS
COILS: Tesla coils are God's gift to
humankind. These suckers can't make scrap metal out of
entire herds of tanks if used properly. The important
thing to keep in mind with tesla coils is that to defeat
them, the enemy doesn't necessarily have to destroy the
tesla itself, but can rag on your power plants until the
teslas go offline. For this reason guarding your tesla is
not enough. Along wth putting up walls around the tesla,
it would be a good idea to guard your power plants by
tanks and a bunch of engineers to repair any plant that
comes under fire. TURRETS: This ally defense structure is nowhere near as powerful as the Tesla, but can still be devastating in large groups. I myself tend to build turrets as needed. For example if I see some tanks coming towards my base, then I start putting up turrets where it looks like the enemy forces will be entering my base. The turrets will slow down the opposition but not stop it, for that always have some mobile turrets (aka TANKS) handy. FLAME TOWER: Flame towers are defense against infantry. That is it. Don't bother with these things if tanks are coming. It might be wise to put up a flame tower in the beginning if you know your opponent is one of those people that take about 20 infantry to scout <g>, otherwise forget about this structure.
