CREATE A PRIVATE PC
NETWORK
You crave security in the
lives of your corporate PCs, yet you expect them to communicate with
one another and the Internet, safely. How can you have both? Enter
Signal 9 Solutions Inc., makers of personal firewall software and a
new PC-to-PC virtual private networking (VPN) product called ConSeal
Private Links.
Also known as CPLinks (the Marketing Mollusk guesses that the
Signal 9 MarComites missed the lecture on unity branding in B-school),
Private Links provides highly secure, encrypted communications between
PCs over the Internet. The program protects a wide variety of
applications, such as Internet telephone conversations, online chat,
and file transfers.
CPLinks is included with Signal 9's personal firewall programs,
ConSeal Private Desktop and ConSeal PC Firewall. It is designed to
work in conjunction with these personal firewalls to provide effective
protection for home and small-office Internet users who are
increasingly vulnerable to attack from hackers and pranksters as well
as criminal activity. Now, in addition to enjoying firewall intrusion
protection, CPLinks users can engage in a variety of completely
private and encrypted communications on a local area network or over
the Internet.
As a "client-to-client" VPN, CPLinks creates a secure or
protected "tunnel" between two computers over the Internet.
The program is designed to work seamlessly and automatically with any
application that uses the worldwide Internet for communications.
