Uniden PC66XL

Power Mods

1.replaced R43 (10 Ohm) with 2.7 Ohm resistor
2.replaced R108 (1 Ohm) with .7 Ohm resistor
3.Replaced R76 (2.2k Ohm) with 1k Ohm resistor
4.Re-peak L8 L9 L10 for the maximum power

Modulation Mod

1.Adjust VR5 or cut D9.
2.Peak L8 L9 L10 for the maximum power

Uniden PC76XL

Power Mods

1.Replace final with a 2SC1969
2.Replace R123 with .47 ohm resistor
3.Replace R58 with 2.7 ohm resistor
4.Peak L12 L13 L14 for the maximum power

Modulation Mod

1.Adjust VR5 or cut D11.
2.Re-peak L12 L13 L14 for the maximum power

Uniden 510XL

Power Mods

1.Cut D14 Audio Limiter.
2.Tune L6 and L5 for max swing

Cobra 19

Power Mods

1.Cut D9 which is the audio limiter .
2.Tune L15, L16, L17 for max swing

Cobra 25-GTL

Power Mods

1.Cut D9 which is the audio limiter .
2.Tune L10 and spread apart the L8 coil for max swing

Modulation Mod

1.Cut jp6 near the final.
2.Solder a 220uf capacitor with the negative facing the final where jp6 was removed.
3.Solder a 100 ohm resistor across the capacitor leads on the solder side of the board.

Variable Modulation

1.Trace the 2 wires connected to the RF GAIN back to the PCB and unsolder.
2.Solder in a jumper wire to the two points on the PCB.
3.Solder the 2 wires across the 220uf capacitor that you installed.
