I guess it all started with our indoor Christmas Tree. One year we put the "normal" amount of lights on our tree, but it never seemd to be quite enough. So eventually that poor Christmas Tree was laden with over a thousand lights indoors.Naturally we decided to progress and put lights outside our house and first started with the windows and bushes. Over the years it has gradually progressed so now we have over 60,000 lights in our front yard. All the wire shaped figurines have hand strapped lights attached.
In 1999 we added our Flying Angel, Snowflake, Manger and theTeddy Bears climbing the candy cane. Some of the other wire figures have come from Australia Santas Helpers located in Queensland, and the rest we have imported from the Christmas Factory in America. Alot of the others are one of a kind as I have made them.
In 2000 we shifted location to a 10 acre property. We added lots of "Tee Pee" trees to our 150 metre driveway, a Soldier firing a canon, 4000 lights to our roof, animated horse carousel, plus numerous other figures.
For 2001 we have added arches over the driveway as people walk down the driveway, more "TeePee" trees, teddy bears kissing under the mistle toe and a giant 12 foot "Tee Pee" tree in the middle end of our driveway that is made up of coloured chase lights.
