My idea is to have a game called DMBS, which stands for DM building set.
Basically, in its first version it would be a DM helper, after that
someone could run an entire campaign with it ( adding automation to most
of the NPC such that the DM as less and less to do).

A first module would be used to create the world, this is necessary for
any kind of games anyway. I was thinking of an iso-metric type game at
that point.

Then 'key points' can be set (or scripted) by the DM. i.e. when player
goes here, NPC bob, opens door of second house to the right, looks at
player then run opposite direction.

Another type of key point would be 'if player touch/talk to this NPC, DM
takes over'.

The idea is that the DM would be a pseudo-God in this world, he would
see where all the players are. He can talk to them through NPC or
through the DM voice. Battles mechanics are handled by the computer, but
battles strategies can be changed by the DM.

As the game will improve in AI, less and less interaction will be needed
by a DM. Eventually this could become a stand alone game. However,
players knowing that a DM is behind some of the scenes will most likely
enjoy it more. Especially if the DM is good.

I'd like this to be usable through a network or even through play by
e-mail.
