The
Dream
by Andrea
Mesich
I sat alone in a flat
of grass,
allowing each thought
and daydream to float passed.
Lying beside a river
so blue and deep,
I found myself
drifting off to sleep.
----------------------------------------------------------
A haze of lavender and
pink gentally washed over me,
bringing alive things
that are meant to be.
I awoke to a soft
glaze of mist
with tender dew drops
I had been kissed.
--------------------------------------------------------
My brown Hair fell on
my shoulders, crowned with flowers blue.
My dress was
shimmering silk that flowed like water to my ankles in a shinny pink hue.
My dark eyes turned up
and there he stood in a halo of light.
So tall and bold,
handsome and right.
-------------------------------------------------------------------
He was dressed in a
suit with tails and shinny black shoes.
A dark green tie, and
trousers of blue.
his face was the most
beautiful thing I'd ever seen,
and his eyes were like
that of an elfin king's.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
A smile on his face as
he looked upon me where I sat,
and a top his head he
wore a blue silk woven top hat.
------------------------------------------------------------------
He reached his hand
down to take mine,
and I felt as if I had
been frozen in time.
my heart raced as he
helped me to my feet,
Hand in hand our eyes
did meet.
-------------------------------------------------------------
His shoulder length
hair was raven black.
And no charms or
manners did this man lack.
He brushed my cheek
and held me tight,
then we danced all day
and into the night.
------------------------------------------------------------
We danced and talked,
then danced some more
And there watching us
with glee was a unicorn at a golden door.
The man bowed and
said..."I forgot to introduce myself, I'm Robin Shou."
I said my name was
Andrea, he said "My dear Andrea, how do you do?"
-----------------------------------------------------------------
Suddenly he stopped
dancing and removed a flower from my crown.
he Kissed my cheek and
gave a bow.
Then tipping his Blue
silk woven hat,
he whispered words
I'll never forget.
----------------------------------------------------------------
"It was true love
when we met, and it is true love till the day I die,
but night has fallen
and away you must fly.
Your dream is now
over, but remember this always,
in another realm we
shall meet again, and be together for all our days.
-----------------------------------------------------------
As he dissapeared, I
wondered if it were really true.
When I awake from the
dream dear Robin will I find you?
Will you be standing
there smiling in your blue silk woven top hat,
Or will I see you
somewhere else where I am at?
-------------------------------------------------------------
I opened my eyes, back
in the wooks in my own cloths....
awake from the dream
tho it feels more real
now that I'm awake than it then seemed.
I smiled as I thought
again of that Man.
Would I ever really
see him again?
----------------------------------------------------
Before I could wonder
more with great thought and care,
I turned and looked
beside me and there....
on the grassy spot
next to me where I now sat, lying there was
a blue silk woven top
hat.
