Whose Line Is It Anyway? is a half-hour improvisational show taped in London and New York that features British and American comedians, actors and actresses performing improvisational skits suggested by a live audience. The hit British comedy improvisational TV show that started out as a radio show over a decade ago is currently broadcast on Channel Four in the UK and on Comedy Central in the United States. The US version is on ABC. Two series of the multi-award winning show have been recorded in New York and one in Los Angeles. Clive Anderson, winner of the 1991 British Comedy Award for Top Entertainment Presenter, is the host of the British version, and Drew Carey, of the "Drew Carey Show", hosts the American version. Past guests on Whose Line Is It Anyway? have included , George Wendt (Norm in Cheers), Betty Thomas (Hill Street Blues), Jonathan Pryce (Tomorrow Never Dies, Brazil), Stephen Fry (Wilde) and Peter Cook.
