It shouldn't be your responsibility to make them change. It is up to them. If a person really loves you they will take the responsibility for their own actions, not try to dump it on you.
You better rethink this whole situation. There is someone out there who will care enough to change for you. Keep your eyes open for someone else.
Even with this in mind you still have no doubts about this relationship. You must either be really gullible or really in love.
