People find
it strange that I work with computers and do art, two things I find rather
similar. Once people find this out, the question I always get is, "Why
don't you do computer art?"
My response has always been that I didn't think it was very intersting to do. I like to make art out of the things I find, adding my input to the actualities of my materials. But I thought there must be a way to combine the two. While learning how to utilize the net, I discovered a handy feature of Netscape called Set as Wallpaper, which would convert an image on the net to a bitmap file on my hard drive. I was already familiar with Paint, and soon began building these collages. After the tragic mistake of mailing 800 K bitmaps to people, I quickly learned to convert them to jpeg formats. I found these simple to do and did about one every day or two.
