05.31.03    TOYS 'R' ME!
got some new toys: an ibook and a canon s230 digi-cam. behold the offspring! my test movie.

05.30.03    GAS CANDY
i'm all for selfish, private enjoyment, but this one is too good to keep to myself any longer: dieselsweeties. go, clango!

05.27.03    BRAZIL?!
brazil and new brunswick! leaving for my volunteer, 6-month IT internship on june 30. eek! and yay!

05.26.03    OVERHEARD ON TTC
five boys in the back of the ttc streetcar, all loudly arguing what, exactly, constitues a somersault, a flip, and a cartwheel. they nearly take out an eye with their wild gesticulations.

05.20.03    ADAGE
i got a bit of pithy advice through answerology: "after 30 days, no mail means no male."
the truth of it makes me sad, because i can no longer justify it. no, wait. i'm sad because i'm not getting what i wanted.

05.19.03    SINCERE
compliments are supposed to be unsolicited, spontaneous bits of praise, but i'm not adverse to receiving them in exchange for a bit of change dropped into a panhandler's cup.

05.15.03    NAÏVE
my sister is entirely too trusting. some friends once convinced her that the word 'gullible' wasn't in the dictionary. she believed it. twice.

05.14.03    ADVICE BEFORE YOU NEED IT
for pete's sake boys and girls and boys: groom your pubic area! if not trim, then at least groom out all loose hairs. nothing kills the oral sex moment like your partner gagging in the vincinity of your crotch.

05.13.03    CUNNING LINGUISTS
i like boys who have excellent verbal skills. it impresses me when they use good, chewy words. not necessarily obscure, over-punctilious, or big, but solid, sweeping words. a sampling of such terms and words: gangbusters, decimation, charlatan, chicanery, ridiculous, cavalier, whilst, debauchery, boorish, replete, lay siege, unwashed masses, anti-butter.

05.12.03    ON THE GO
i love to look out the window as the train rounds a curve. i also like to poke my head out of the window (when possible) and look down the length of the train. something about seeing the train while i'm in it just says, "destination!", especially if we're travelling through hilly areas and the coast is in view.

05.11.03    THRILL OF THE CHASE
and why shouldn't i pursue happiness to its fullest extent, even if it means falling flat on my face/ass?

05.09.03    I LOVE YOU FOR SENTIMENTAL REASONS
karl zero is a cha-cha genius. go buy music for cabriolets and otro tipos de vehiculos right away. it's a fun, upbeat, whimsical album that will put the wiggle and jiggle into your day.

on the other hand, wait, no, don't go buy it. there's something to be said for a little private enjoyment.

and i do still have a crush on B, for sentimental reasons (cue karl zero).

05.01.03    REALITY TV
maybe it's because reality tv is everywhere these days, but i find myself talking to people on tv: "no, not in there! he's going to kill you!". they're inappropriate emotional reactions; it's as if they're personal friends.

i also get embarassed for people who obviously put themselves out to be ridiculed. sometimes, it's so bad (like the guy singing "the clock strikes upon the hour" for the canadian idol commercial) i have to change the channel. not what the people in marketing what me to do.
