Another week, another bunch of Spicy News... Well... the girls have been busy haven't they? What would you do without me, Hamster Spice, to search through all the garbage and to pull out the really juicy bits... the left over pizza... the hole-filled underwear... whatever...
Well, its the talk of all the tabloids. Us spicers are going head to head against the dumb telly tubbies in the TOY WARS. Yes. This Christmas dolls of both the Telly Tubbies and the Spice Girls fight it out for the affections of the nation's kids... The results from this, will obviously point the way of the future love of impressionable youngsters everywhere. We all know there is only room for one fad in the hearts of the nations kids, and we both know that the Telly Tubbies, fun though they are... are going to loose hopelessly. Indeed, Spicy girl power will reign supreme! Today, the toy stores, tomorrow, The WORLD!!!!
Yes, the nth single release by the spice girls is ... well... almost upon
us. As the song says, "Splice up your life!". Preliminary critics have
compared it to previous spice releases... In fact, most critics say it is
as good as "Wannabee" which means it will probably shoot to the top of the
charts... of course, most critics, in their comparison with "Wannabee" are
making a negative comparison...
Here at the HT:SOL, we think that the song is as infectious, as contagious,
as annoyingly repetitive as all the other spice songs... Is this a bad thing?
We don't know... but if we look at the results of previous records, this is
the sort of thing that the young people today want. Meaningless, self-indulgent
lyrics... repetitive beat... repetitive beat... girls in their underwear...
Now tell me that that isn't a reciepe for success.
A great cheer was heard from amoung the ranks of parents everywhere as the Spice Girls flew off to Spain. Of course, the cheers were short lived when it was revealed that this Spanish Trip was to launch the new album, Spice World.
Elton John confessed on Tv shortly after our previous issue went to press that he was secretly a Spice Gril. He said
"I like to let my hair down from time to time, and yes... I am really into the whole grill power thing."
