Love

By Matthew Schleis

Astounded, the love before me clenches my heart. Shall my strong admiration be cherished by her love?

Love...founded by the enhancement of compassion, trust and respect; ne'er forsaken by the truth of a companion.

Love...the mark of eternity. Shall I bind my heart with another? Shall time be the demise of love? Hesitantly, I say no.

My passionate soul, succumbing to thy endearment. My heart boasts of being one with your mind.

Forgiving our love, hand in heart. Shall a mountain wither with the wind? Shall it just be pebbles in the sand?

No. If it's love, it's a lifetime. Though I lay to rest, my love be with thee always, as my soul departs to heaven.

(Matthew, 20, enjoys many cultural things. He loves to draw, he loves classical music, and when an experience moves him, he loves to grab his pen and capture the emotion.)
