(Or...really cool party ideas that will keep the guests screaming!)

Serious party planners will enjoy turning their harmless punch into witches brew! Pick up some dry ice the afternoon of your party. Before your guests arrive, put the dry ice in a large bowl, set your smaller punch bowl inside, and watch it smoke like a bewitching concoction. (Please be careful handling the dry ice. Always use tongs!)

To keep things lively, freeze raisins in the ice cubes you put in your punch bowl or your guests' drinks to make it look as if insects have invaded your freezer!

To compliment your ice cubes, serve spiders. Melt chocolate in your microwave, put it in a pastry bag, and squeeze thick spider designs onto a waxed paper. Refrigerate for a few minutes, and viola - the invasion of the insects continues.

Try this little decorating touch: Take a large apple, put a couple of small holes in it, and stuff part of a gummy worm in each hole. Use it to decorate your spider snack plate or strategically place a couple on the food table. (Also great for sticking in candied apples for the kids!)

Ok, this one isn't scary, just fun. Get a selection of candy like mini chocolate bars, gum drops and candy corn, and skewer them with toothpicks. Then stick them into a pumpkin. This colorful centerpiece is so cute, your guests will simply eat it up!
