Phi Delta Alpha turns gold this 2007

The year 2007 is a momentous one for the Phi Delta Alpha Sorority of the University of the Philippines as it celebrates its 50th anniversary. Founded in July 1957 by 42 women who have common ideals, Phi Delta Alpha has embarked on various socio-civic projects through the years that benefited orphans, women and the community.

Alumnae and resident members have been meeting every first Saturday of the month to discuss updates on the preparation of the Sorority’s golden anniversary. Sis Generosa “Jenny” Jacinto, the interim Lady Chancellor of the Alumnae Group, said that various committees were formed to put the groundwork of the celebration into full gear. “We are happy that many of our sisters from various batches have responded to our call,” Jacinto shared.
