It all started with the US KRH86 NYC Reunion ...
Pizzeria Due: McDonald's Too (Chicago Part 2/?)

We started the day at McDonald’s. According to my Sis Johanna, the Mc Donald’s we went to is the largest one (in the US? The world?). On the second floor, there was a museum section showcasing memorabilia about the fast food restaurant: Lego, Star Wars, etc, and a little bit about the McD charity.

While waiting to meet with Sis Johanna, Nick and I ordered soup. Oh, I remember when the McD we go to in NY had soup. I guess it didn’t sell well. So, surprise, surprise, to see soup being sold. I guess it depends where you are. Like the McLobster tail sandwich in Maine. I kinda miss the McSpaghetti in the Philippines.

Well a true EB! After all the YMing Sis Johanna and I finally meet! With her is nice guy Aris. Memory lane and chitchat about UP and Phi Delta Alpha, even if we are a decade apart, some things haven’t changed.

We carried our conversation into Pizzeria Uno. Yes, like I said, we drove all the way to Chicago to eat there (and of course, to meet Sis Johanna!) We ordered pasta, Buffalo wings, and the largest Numero Uno Deep Dish Pizza. Oh boy! It was too much, yummy, but too much. Talk about a very heavy meal! And just because we didn’t get to meet up with Marius, that didn’t stop me from ordering a raspberry colada.

We walked the meal off by looking around the area, and taking pictures like any tourist. A couple of blocks away is the second restaurant: Pizzeria Due! Afterwards, Aris drove us to Lake Shore Drive. The lake water is so blue! We took more pictures around, the skyline, the planetarium, the park. We stopped by the Navy Pier. The largest Ferris wheel is there, and it was closed. I had no intention of riding anyway. It was unbelievably cold, plus a wind chill factor. I don’t care if they say 20 F, it felt below 0 F! Definitely not going on any ride in that cold.

It was a nice day with Sis Johanna, wish we had a longer time to hang out. I was very happy to personally deliver her PDA shirt. (Yes Ka-batch Rhoda, your shirt is next!) Thank you so much for the tour around the city! Looking forward to showing you and Aris around NYC this summer!
