Two Poems by Ann Lewis

Sounds

The nicest sound I love to hear is when a baby cries
Or children singing in a choir brings tears to my eyes
People laughing, church bells ringing, voices on the phone
These are the things I care about wherever I may roam.

Holidays

Well holiday time is here again, and what a headache for some
It's where shall we go, what shall we take, and who wants to come?
Will we go to Greece or Spain, and France seems quite a thrill
But I know that once again we shall all pack up for Rhyl.
