Welcome to The Bentilean's
Christmas Special 1990

Once again I have loads of people to thank for their help and encouragement with this issue. My writers for their contributions, my friends and acquaintances for their continued support, and "last but not least" the administrator of the Willfield Open Learning Centre for allowing me to typeset the mag on their wonderful desktop publishing system, as part of my I.T. course (see just past middle for an article all about them).

Those of you who remember the first issue was back in July/August will know that's I've got a bit of competition now in the form of "The Bentilee Bulletin" {published by the Bentilee Volunteers & Neighbourhood Project}. Am I worried? Have you read it? It may have a Big Circulation (every house on the estate), but size isn't everything {a Truth never too often repeated}.

Meanwhile, I'd like to wish a Merry Christmas & Happy New Year to all Bentileans, and Good Will to all men, women, {Bent' Vol's}, friends and relatives!

I think I must have been reading The Guardian when I desktop published the above.
