EYE SAGA END IN SIGHT

Willfield Open Learning Regular, musician, and ophthalmic guru, Don Moore is all set to have the last laugh when he completes his will-be Best Seller, "Why Wear Glasses", anytime....well, soon.

Said the author, "After weeks of final editing, deleting and re-writing paragraph after paragraph of gibberish, and adding entirely new sections of text, I can finally say with confidence that the end of the book is in sight."

For those not in know, the book outlines a series of exercises that Don Moore used to cure himself of a bad case of astigmatism, and which he maintains will work for anybody who tries them, to cure a whole range of visual deficiences including long-sightedness, short-sightedness, and old-sightedness.

But whenever he finishes, those who'd like to read the book will still have a long wait. Publishers like mothers tend to take nine months to bring their offspring into the world.

Mini-Exhibition
A Big Success

The Bentilean magazine has been making a mini-exhibition of itself at Bentilee Public Library and is delighted to report it was a huge success.

The exhibition, designed to let Bentilee people see some of what they've missed to date (because of our small print run), ran from 16th December '91 to 11th January, and included material like a local history interview from our Bentilee Lighthouse column, an article about the Willfield Open Learning Centre, poems, copies of the past three issues, and a photocopy of our comedy due, Mortimer & Mears' tribute to the New Vic musical, "Good Golly, Miss Molly", signed by all but one of the original cast -- who are currently putting the show on at The Arts Theatre, in London's West End.

Confirmed librarian, Mr. John West, "There was a lot of interest in the exhibition," and went on to pledge his future support for similar ventures.

The exhibition was set up with the valued assistance of Bentilee resident, Mr. C.J. Hocknell.
