i went into the desert
my heart feeling the calm around me
it soothed me to be there
naked and so vulnerable
but my heart stayed with you
as you walked the path that is your life
i asked from my sister night
protection and her care
while far away from me
you had to make choices
do things you didn't want to do
be a lone voice in a sea of words
i felt you touch me ...
your touch electric and felt you with me
i knew you would be
we belong together
that is our path
our strength
our love
somehow this day will end
this day that comes from the angry season
the season with no rhythm or rhyme
a test .... yes it is and i shall not fail
for i look at this time to come as our season
a season of love and diversity
i lay down in the desert
so cool the night sand against my skin
and i hunger
for a love like no other ...
pulling you close to me we sleep
