misrepresenting
they tell me you are a liar
that you are "misrepresenting"
but i stand by you
because i know you are not
	"misrepresenting"
but enlightenning all who hear
or want to hear the truth
gangster beats run through me
words fill me that must come out
and life falls gently into place
that i never would have guessed
but had dreamed of ... marriage
so the future is open
it's a blank sheet of paper
	for me to write upon
and the roads that lead to
	everywhere
are more clearly defined
the people who are to be there
	in my world
are becoming clearer
now as to "misrepresenting"
i do not know the truth
therefore i cannot judge
but i will not give you up
	unless you ask me to
for i do love you and know you are
the person i am waiting to see
i know you will strive
	long and hard
to make sure this misfortune
	never happens again
how can i join you in a world
that has no sense of balance
where the streets are where
	too many land
	and hold no promise
we will be united i feel
i know it will be long and hard
	till we have our own
but some things take time
	and are worth waiting for
am i worth waiting for my love
