when on that day the wind did rise and from a single rose each petal dropped one by one upon the ground i felt as if my heart would break still i held on tightly to the love that i felt i would never know and in this time and place that is now i feel your embrace upon me it holds me and loves me just as you always have and will no mere gesture by the fates that be can bring down a love so strong as this not one act ... nor deed can take away what i feel and as i gathered the petals one by one from the ground i spread them were i might see them when i wake and before i go to sleep gentle breezes touch me and i know it is you and even my steps are lighter because i know a love as great as ours shall endure it's going to be alright yes it will baby because in the end all lovers win and smile and walk into the sunset Spirits Mon Jun 29 00:49:09 1998
