NEGATIVE FRIEND

I really do feel great today,
I think I'll call my friend.
To talk, and try to share with her,
The happy mood I'm in.
"Hello" my friend, I said to her,
I hope your feeling fine.
Then, I heard a sighing sound,
Then, she began to whine.

Well, that morning's finally here,
I guess I'll be all right.
I really didn't get much sleep,
I tossed and turned all night.
I really do not like my work,
Or, the people at my job.
I do not think they care for me,
And, my boss is such a slob.

I have to get my car today,
It was, towed to a shop.
I wasn't parked illegally,
I tried to tell the cop.
I really need to shop today,
But, I really hate the crowd.
I really must get out of here,
This neighborhood's too loud.

Got all dressed up, went out last night,
To try and have some fun.
But, realized, how people bore me,
When the night was done.
Right now, I have a headache,
And my lower back is sore.
I really must get going,
I don't even know what for?

She said " I guess I'll let you go",
I know you've things to do.
You really do enjoy your life,
Sometimes, I envy you.
I must be careful of this friend,
Whenever she's around.
I try to share my joy with her,
But, she just drags me down.
