Hatred

A sweet melody plays, and the voice sings its song:
A pitch black monster
With sharp, diamond claws
And too many eyes to count
Calls to me.
It spreads its golden wings,
Revealing beauty
In its ugliness.
It shines its silver eyes and
Beckons me.
I start walking toward it and
Suddenly,
Its diamond claws reflect black light,
Its golden wings turn brown,
Its silver eyes have tarnished spots,
Ands its jaws bring forth an evil grin.
I am still walking toward it
With a will that is not my own.
I cannot turn back.
With every step that brings me closer
The beast becomes uglier.
It swallows me up,
The darkness surrounding me
Like a shrinking cloth.
I am released,
But my actions are no longer truly mine.
I see through a veil of crimson,
I think through the brain of the beast.
I wander around
Destroying Happiness,
Love,
Dreams,
And life.
I rip to shreds the hope inside of people.
Suddenly, I fall.
The crimson veil is lifted.
The monster's mind leaves me.
For I fight hard
And bravely
And never will give up.
