The Sun and Moon

"Aaahh...The Sun and Moon....They bring light to the forest and warmth to all the land."

The gray of dawn before the blaze of light,
Apollo whips his horses, quickening their pace,
Then noon and finally the night,
The dark has come revealing the moon's pallid face.

A soft pink glow from darkness shines,
The sky becomes a quilt of velvet lace,
The soft pink glow this darkness binds,
Apollo urges golden horses to make haste.

The horses' odyssey now ends,
Diana comes drawing bow and arrows bright,
And all day's problems night mends,
For darkness obeys the Lady of the Night.

The gray of dawn before the blaze of light,
Apollo whips his horses, quickening their pace,
Then noon and finally the night,
The dark has come revealing the moon's pallid face.
