TO OUR LOVES. Phonokol. Ofra's first album. Cute and old fashioned.
COME AND TALK. Phonokol. This is the second album of Ofra Haza. In the same style as the first one, but to me, much superior in quality. Highly recommended!
THE CHILDREN ALBUM. Hed Artzi. Great album, but very very poor CD. The sound is a joke. If you're not bothered by hearing heavy scratches...
TEMPTATIONS. Hed Artzi. 80's type of rock. Deliciously old fashioned and fun.
ISRAELI STANDARDS PART 1. Hed Artzi. A fabulous album. Great choice of songs and fantastic voice. This album was released in 1981, but when they put it on CD, they combined it with the second volume that Ofra made in 1985: so two albums on one great CD! Highly recommended!
ADAMA. Hed Artzi. To me, Ofra Haza's best album. It shows maturity and great taste. The perfect material to show the best of her wonderful musical talents! Highly recommended!
ISRAELI STANDARDS PART 2. Hed Artzi. A second volume of evergreens, as good as the first one if not even better. Ofra Haza at her very best! PS: They released this second part AND the first part on a single compact disc. Highly recommended!
BROKEN DAYS. Hed Artzi. Ofra wrote the whole album. Unfortunately this is among the worst albums she ever made...
GOLDEN ALBUM. Hed Artzi. A double CD for a compilation of hte best songs of Ofra Haza. This compilation is good because the very early songs have been remixed and also because two of her best selling albums are still not on CD yet and that this double disc contains some of the hits. Highly recommended!
ISRAELI STANDARDS PART 3. Hed Artzi. Just recently re released on CD. The sound of a few songs is not perfect, but the album itself is pretty good. On the cover, Ofra put herself next to a fake David Ben Gurion. To me that shows not only poor taste, but also megalomania...
ALL MY SOUL. NMC. The latest Hebrew album. Some good songs, but the whole album lacks punch or passion. A little too bland. |
