Malurus was dancing and he suddenly remembered someone else who hadn't seen his new coat yet. So he flew to a nearby clump of grasses, where his third wife was busy building a little nest, all covered in with a tiny little doorway.

Hello, Djir-jeel-jya, do you like my splendid new coat?

It's very splendid, Malurus. Can you please pass me that piece of grass?

Malurus hopped up to the piece of grass, but just as he got there he suddenly remembered that he had a new coat, and completely forgot about Djir-jeel-jya and the nest. Instead, he went dancing away, hopping and fluttering and singing to himself.

I am so pretty! Blue, blue, pretty pretty pretty!

And Djir-jeel-jya had to get the grass herself. She was a little cross.
