A local television station is interviewing students on camera about
a teachers' walkout. This dialogue really happened- I'm not making
it up. Honestly!
Reporter: So, why are you out here
this morning?
Liz: To support our teachers!
Reporter: Why are you doing that?
Liz: Because they're the greatest
teachers in the world!
Reporter: And what do you want?
Liz: $7,000 for OM!!!
Casey: Liz, I don't think that's
what they wanted you to say.
Liz: Oops...
Yes, Knoxville is certainly going to be a blast. Unfortunately, the district isn't going to pay a cent! Therefore, all financial issues need to be covered by the team! Since we'd rather not have to pay about $700 apiece, we're raising the money ourselves- Read on for details!

Bouncy Castle
May 7th and 8th, 11 AM- 5 PM, Tidymans on
Sprague
Who doesn't like bouncing around, especially little kids? We'll be
running the bounce castle at the local Tidymans and taking donations; come
meet us and relieve stress at the same time!
Fishers of Men
benefit concert
May 4th, 7:30-9:00 PM, CVHS Multipurpose room
This local Christian rock band has agreed to give a concert and give
us the proceeds! What nice guys! (Be sure to check out their website and
tell them so!) The band will be selling CD's, posters, etc. and the team
will be selling soda and chips for $0.50 each. There will be a raffle for
various items, including gift certificates, as well. Not only do you help
two local enterprises, but you get to listen to some rockin' good music,
too! Admission is $3.

& Pines
This business will give us 25% of the profits made during the designated
times. Come eat all the nachos you can and meet the team while you're at
it!

Mother's Day Carnations
This week, Greenacres, Liberty Lake, and Opportunity
Elementary schools
We will be selling Mother's Day carnations wrapped in tissue paper
with cards for kids to give their moms for $2 each. Information and flyers
can be obtained at Greenacres or Liberty Lake elementaries.
Godfather's Pizza Sales
Through Friday, May 15th, before and after
TAP in by the office and outside the bandroom
Buy pizza, soda, and chips to combat those mid-morning, "there's-still-two-hours-until-lunch"
munchies! Pizza will be $1.50 per slice, and soda and chips will be $0.50
each, with a possible combo deal.
CVHS T-Shirt Sales
On display now at local junior high schools
Thanks to the OM Mommies, graduating junior high school students who
want to get in on the action early will be able to buy a Central Valley
High School T-shirt to proudly display through the summer. Details TBA.
