Small Collection of Sharp Things
O,
Happy Dagger!
Graduation 1997
|
 |
Yeah, I know it's an extremely cheesy faux-Highlander
sword. But it's my first real fixed-blade weapon, purchased with
an unseemly portion of my graduation takings. And at the time,
this was pretty much the only thing going.
Or at least the best-looking one available.

Birthday 2001

Not sure what this one's about, actually. The overall
shape puts me in mind of South-central Asia (esp. the Indian Subcontinent).
Or perhaps Persia.
I think it's wicked-cool, regardless.

Roman-style double edged dagger
with Imperial eagle pommel. The scabbard features a Romulus and
Remus scene, further emphasizing the Roman theme.
Not sure about the where and whyfors
of the medusa head and the sphinxes, though. Perhaps to signify
that Rome was all over the place?
I'm not particularly fond of the decal
on the blade, but that wasn't up to me.
