Title: A Day at the Beach
Writer: Hallie

it sounds so fun
the sand
the water
and the sun

she was so inoccent
young and sweet
she had the world
right at her feet

who would have known
that she would die
leaving everyone she touched
to grieve and cry

into the water
she swam so fast
she didnt know today
was her last

the current came up
too fast for sight
but she didnt give up
without a fight

her funneral was
the saddest day of my life
reality cut through me
just like a knife

in another place
in another time
her life no longer
a part of mine
