Title: Kindred Apparition
Writer: Charlie Girl

Freely spoken secrets - and sleepy soul-mates sigh,
Enveloped in the here and now, a lull that held us high
A moment of disclosure, so chemically enhanced,
The edges of reality 'round which our spirits danced.

Discoloured humble furnishings, a golden hue above,
Unspoken fears interpreted. No references to love.
The substance of the either, a reflection of the or,
A tangible untouchable behind asylum's door

A fleeting slumber complicates potential to evolve.
History beckons brutally, perfection will dissolve.
Emotionless portrayals of the fears that lurk within,
Grave moments as the present waits for endings to begin.

Truth is unassuming, as the touching spirits die,
Emotions are irrelevant - with tears that will not cry.
A flame eternal, flickers, as it draws on borrowed air
The kindred are extinguished by the burdens of despair.
