Title: Colours Of You
Writer: Feebie
I thought about you today,
when I was pulling on my orange top.
I could smell your memory all over it
and it took me back to a familiar place,
that place was with you.
Oh how I still yearn sometimes.
For a split second the world fades out
and you become all coloured in.
Your hair - the colour of my kitchen scourer as I busily was my dishes.
Your eyes - the colour of an apple, clear and crunchy, etched deep in my memory.
Your lips - the colour of white chocolate, yummy and tastey sweet, licking my lips and enjoying every little last morsel of you.
Your hands - the colour of soapy suds, a bath full of gentle water washing over me and blowing bubbles if only to be a child for a short time.
And your body - the colour of love,
as you promised to stay with me forever and ever.
Then without second thought, I left you and all the colours up and left me, simply slipping through my fingers.
And each day you fade away more and more, until I reach for my orange top and smell you all over again.
Only to softly whisper to the harsh winter breezes
"I am sorry for erasing the colours of you"
