Title: If I Could Fly...
Writer: Minerva Bloom
I kneel before a torn window
gazing at the unattainable moon
that perhaps, will kiss you.
Across oceans of loneliness
in the dark nights of my soul
will you still hear my lips whisper:
<< I miss you >>
In this forbidden distance
in a touchless-transmission
in all degrees
cries this, my lament.
"Hush, my child. Hush."
(Some ancient voice,
collects the debris of my heart)
"Hush, my child. Hush.
For you are loved."
But I want to fly!
With the wings he built for me~~
I want to take flight!
To his embrace. To his warmth.
To his eyes on mine.
I want to fly.
Like a victorious bird
dressed in purple blood
I want to soar
down the natural waters
down the moist earth
that incubates the seedlings
I want, to have my way,
when I meet with his grapes.
And then arrive, blowing the horn
to assemble HIM, to assemble ME.
To invent US.
Again....Again....Again.
I am here. And you are with me.
Do you HEAR me?
[And the eyes of that cold, cruel moon ignored me]
