Title: Day One
Writer: Stephanie

I hear the tv, I forgot to turn it off
I turn back around and hold the sweatshirt you must have forgot
I get up and take a look in the mirror
I wash my face and think of conditioning my hair
Put my slippers on just to brush my teeh
You always hated when I walked around with bare feet
My time keeps ticking by
My watch must be slow
I keep thinking you hope I'm alright
I wish I had strength to get from the floor
Go to the closet to look for a shirt
It's 12:15 and you'd be on your lunch break from work
Outside the sun is bright
I like Ultra-violet rays
think about a cigarette but you hate the way they taste

The sky went black hours ago
And if you were here you'd be safely at home
I clean up the kitchen and wash out the sink
I stare at the phone half-expecting to ring
Tonight I'll turn in early
No use in stayling up late
Damn my bed is going to be lonely
what will I do with all that space?
