Your eyes were the same I could see the tiny hint of the old flame Your smile still as sweet as it could be For so long it was all I could see Your face seemed to change Never did I think that it would be so strange But behind the mask from years gone by and only when I try I could see past the lie, You couldn't be the one I loved so much The one I'd die for every touch It was your face that my eyes let me see But it was my heart that wouldn't let that be.
