In the days of yore, Mine lifeless eyes Bared a bereaved heart; Yesterday, belonging to sorrow, Today.....pain, The morrow ? Mine heart, blinded by the brine, Foreseen no future..... More so, a lonely demise. A barren soul, Searching for answers, Merely to be tossed out to sea Amidst the tears of the lost. Alas ! Mine eyes of no tomorrow Wept for true love, Like the heart Of a motherless child..... A comfort, mourning. The days of yore Will never find me longing For yesteryear. Lifeless eyes No longer see the world In despair. True love Hadst saved mine heart, Leading me to the road..... Happiness, eternal.
